Dreams Come True

When I was little I dreamed of becoming a mom. I always knew I wanted a big family. So when I married my prince charming Dustin we didn't wait to have kids. We were excited to start a family.

Little did I know we'd lose our first two babies and walk through the painful journey of miscarriages. However all the while we still had a glimmer of hope, a peace that God would give us the desires of our heart as we trusted in Him.

When our firstborn Aidan arrived we were in awe of the miracle of life. Our baby taught us so much, and he also deprived us of a lot of sleep too! :)

By the time Aliyah came around we were a little more confident as parents, and she was a much better sleeper! Thank the Lord! Next thing you know we had our third child Daniel.

That's when things got a little strange. People kept asking us if we were done. It was challenging to answer a personal question like that.

Do you tell them...

A) Well I've always wanted a big family so no we're not done.

B) Life is precious. We've lost 2 so we are open to whatever amount of children God gives us.

C) It's none of your business. Or…

D) My kids are awesome! What's wrong with yours that you wouldn't want more? LOL :)

Usually I'd just smile and say we're still open to having more. That response would inevitably get looks of shock and eyebrows raised.

And now 6 kids later... I can't imagine my life without Liam, Evan, or Avery and especially the 56 minutes with sweet Gracie Jade in 2015.

I wholeheartedly can say from personal experience that children are a blessing! They make life sweeter, meaningful and so much fun. Especially when your can mess with them and scare them with a singing Santa doll! Yeah, I gotta find those videos to share one day. haha :)

Right now I'm sharing this picture not to boast on the amount of kids I have, but rather to encourage every wife, husband, young lady, young man and even little girls and boys that dream of family one day, that God answers prayers. The road may be difficult or different for some, but rest assured that with Jesus it will be filled with hope and peace along the way.

Give Him your dreams and desires. Trust Him with your heart. He will never leave you or fail you. His grace and mercy is there for you if you are willing to receive it.

I always say that Mother's Day is every day for me, because my husband and kids do such a great job showing me their love and affection daily. They are my dreams come true. ♥️
